Annual Exhibition (29 April-1st May 2023)

This was our annual exhibition  as part of the Henley Arts Trail.   19 talented members exhibited their work for sale.

Refreshments were also on sale with delicious cakes which was a chance to take a breather from the trail and admire a great variety of work both functional and decorative.

West Forest Potters are a local guild of potters and ceramic artists. They held their annual exhibition as part of the Henley Arts Trail. Nineteen of their members exhibited and sold their work, which included practical pottery for the table and kitchen, decorative vases and other vessels, and ceramic sculptures as shown below by Dawn Carroll. it as held at Neville Hall in Waltham St Lawrence RG10 0JP.

some information of some of our exhibitors;
 
Martin Eastabrook debeloped colourful earthenware pots for the Henley Arts Trail.
Mick Dixon exhibited some of his new slipware which is fired in an electric kiln.
Carolyn Blackwell makes functional stoneware ceramics fired in an electric kiln. Most of her work is thrown on the wheel, although she also makes some hand built pieces.
Tim Kennedy’s work mainly centres around the concept of ‘the vessel’ and are hand built using a number of techniques including coiling, pinching and press moulding.
